Singapore Airlines to Introduce Daily Flights to New Western Sydney Airport in Late 2026
Singapore Airlines will launch daily non-stop flights between Singapore and the new Western Sydney International Airport starting in November 2026.
Singapore Airlines has announced plans to begin daily non-stop flights between Singapore Changi Airport and the upcoming Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport starting November 23, 2026, pending regulatory clearance.
The carrier will deploy its medium-haul Airbus A350-900 aircraft on the route. Configured in a two-class layout, the jet accommodates 303 passengers, offering 40 seats in Business Class and 263 in Economy Class.
Expanded Footprint in Sydney
The inaugural flight, designated SQ201, will leave Singapore at 11:30 local time and touch down at Western Sydney International at 22:20. The return service, SQ202, is scheduled to depart Western Sydney at 23:55, arriving back in Singapore at 05:05 the following morning.
Together with its existing quadruple-daily schedule serving Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport, the new service will raise the airline's total frequency to five daily flights connecting Singapore with New South Wales' capital. With Western Sydney added to the roster, Singapore Airlines will fly to eight Australian destinations, while its budget affiliate Scoot operates to three.
Round-the-Clock Operations
Dai Haoyu, Senior Vice President of Marketing Planning at Singapore Airlines, noted that the Western Sydney route will expand passenger options and bolster links to one of the carrier's most significant overseas markets. He highlighted that the airport's ability to accommodate late-night departures allows for smooth connections through Changi to more than 130 destinations across the airline's global network.
Simon Hickey, Chief Executive Officer of Western Sydney International Airport, welcomed the partnership, emphasizing that the terminal's 24-hour operational model paired with the airline's reach will offer travellers across Greater Sydney greater scheduling flexibility.
Tickets for the new service are scheduled to go on sale through Singapore Airlines' booking channels starting March 25, 2026.
