Cambodia preparing to open Chamber of Commerce office in Paris

The Cambodia Chamber of Commerce is preparing to open a representative office in Paris, which would become its ninth overseas base.

The Cambodian government approved the Paris office, covering the city's administrative boundaries, through a sub-decree issued on September 16.

Role of overseas offices

CCC vice-president Lim Heng said on September 25 that the organisation's offices abroad are meant to present Cambodia's investment rules, economic policies and business opportunities to foreign investors, with the goal of drawing more direct investment into the country.

He said the offices also help expand markets for Cambodian exports and regularly connect visitors and potential investors with Cambodia, whether for direct projects or orders for local goods.

Existing network and next steps

Lim Heng said the CCC currently has offices in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Japan, including two in Canada and three in Australia.

He added that an inter-ministerial committee and the CCC would organise an election to choose 15 appointed members for the Paris office, comprising one president, four vice-presidents and 10 other members.

Trade with France

Cambodia and France are expected to hold the third Cambodia-France Business Forum in November 2026. The event is intended to encourage investors from both countries to enter each other's markets and deepen bilateral trade.

Customs data showed Cambodia-France trade reached $438.69 million in the first eight months of 2026, up 13.9% from the same period last year. Cambodia exported $351.22 million worth of goods to France, an increase of 14.8%, while imports from France totalled $87.46 million, up 10.6%.
